Designed for the field

Operating in the field already has its share of challenges. Quickly switch between digital modes with a simple to use, one-click interface.

What is EmComm Tools?

EmComm Tools is my attempt to simplify and streamline digital communications in the field. As a field operator and SOTA (Summits on the Air) activator, I wanted an easier way to send various APRS messages on a Raspberry Pi without using the desktop. Logging into the desktop with a VNC client on a small phone is not very fun.

At its core, EmComm Tools is an Web App that runs on a Raspberry Pi and ties together a handful of ham radio tools (Pat Winlink, YAAC, hamlib, etc.) into a simple to use, 1-click interface for field expedient communications.

Simply connect your smart phone, tablet or laptop to the WiFi hotspot on the Pi and open a web browser to access the Web App.

Fall Beta

I’m planning on a limited beta in the fall for ham radio operators that currently run similar equipment as myself. For the latest updates and to help support the project and The Tech Prepper channel, consider following me on Buy Me A Coffee. (I love coffee).
